Dude, the first hand is just a cooler. As for the second hand, you should consider folding AQ pre-flop to a re-raise and a call. You're in position, but still. Furthermore, you had no business calling behind 2 players on the flop, especially when you've hit air. Stop and think what your opponent's might have before you make a decision.

Just as mezza said, the first is a cooler (nothing you can do really). Because there is no way in hell I would fold KK at 2nl preflop. So there will be times when your KK runs up against AA. Nothing you can do.

The second I would consider tossing to the re-raise. But even then, if you did call and saw a flop, you can't continue there in a 3way pot facing a bet and a call with nothing but whiffed overs. What do you think they have to raise your bet preflop then bet on the flop? Whatever it is it beats your Ace high a high majorite of the time. And as you see even if you catch your Ace or Queen you aren't always good.

If it were anywhere but 2NL, this is that rare moment you might fold KK preflop. As played I see nothing wrong with how you played it.

Hand 2- AQ is a kiss of death hand with that kind of action.. fold preflop.

Tell us one reason, not even a good reason, why your calling the flop on the AQ hand. Do not just agree with the masses, I would like to know why you called?

i called because i put them on like AJ or low pocket pairs, with 2 overcards, i figured i was already in the pot for quite a bit, i might still hit my cards...now i see thatskinda dumb, but oh well, u learn from your mistakes i guess

Not certain with the advice I'm about to give. I'm still a new guy so there is a good chance I'm talking out my ass here. But maybe a better player will correct it if it is wrong and help us both.

The one thing you need to consider is that every move you make is seperate from each other in a ev standpoint (I think! lol). There are times when raising with a hand is +ev, but calling a reraise is -ev.

Yes it's obvious you already put money in and it may feel like you are in for so much already you might as well see it through till the end. BUT, once the money goes into the pot, it is no longer yours. When people talk about being pot committed that is generally due to the odds the pot is offering them. And it being to great to lay their hand down. Here you aren't getting the correct odds to play after the flop.

Also your hand range for them is rather screwed. AJ, and small pocketpairs don't normally re-raise (3bet) preflop. Not gonna say never, but it's not the common thing to do. I know at 10nl a 3b is percieved as pretty solid value as people don't know the concept of 3b light yet, as the higher players do. So when I get 3b a normal range is something like JJ+, AQs+, AKo. So to call you generally need a read or a hand that plays well against that range.

Dude?? You got 3 bet pre flop and a caller plus you called, and you think that AJ or a smaller pocket pair is the best hand? I won't get on you because you probably feel like shit already, but you have some learning to do. Start reading more on this site, watch a few of the vids and get a better feel for the game. Learn to use pokerstove and start thinking in terms of math and numbers and not feeling.

GL, we will be here to help when you need it.

Very bad reason to continue in a hand. The money you've put in doesnt matter anymore, its the money you're now being asked to put in that counts.
Just dipping my toes back in.
