    Default small pocket pairs

    if you hit pocket pairs between 2 and 9, what should you do preflop

    raise? check? fold?

    All of the above. Position, number of players, - in a tournament stack size is an important factor. It's too much to sum up really. Could you make the question more specific?

    Depends on alot of things. Sometims you will call with a small pp, sometimes you will fold, and sometimes you will raise. Your main goal with small-mid pp (22-77ish) is to hit a set. That's where you get paid. I think it is totally feasible to open any pp at 2nl. However, don't get sucked in when you have 22 on a 89T board and think your good. Your playing for set value.

    When calling a raise it's different. You need to make sure your getting good enough implied odds. The amount of the stack you can win needs to be around 15-20x the amount you have to call to see the flop.
