4bet sizing

I am still relatively new to the idea of 4betting semi-lightly pf. In fact, the first time I was 4bet in FR I believe I said, "a 4bet, is that allowed?"

Couple of hands for comment on sizing.

Hand 1. Opp has 3bet me at least once at this table. has been a short session so far, less than 30 minutes. I have my usual high att to steal % and am expecting a 3bet the majority of the time from him here, so I decide to 4bet and cbet all flops. bet sizing ok?

Hand 2, Are you going to felt here if he shoves over your 4bet. You should not be four betting your decent hands that have value, but you are not willing to felt preflop. With 99 here, you are in position and taking a flop is a much better way to proceed imo. Hes almost minraising you here, so if you do decide to make a 4 bet, make it larger as well imo. Betting this flop is player dependant.

Youd be better off polarizing your 4 bets... do it with hands that you want to felt with, for value (ie AK,AA,KK,QQ) and do it with your bluffs that you are folding to a shove (ie 67s, small pp)

Dont 4 bet with your middle strength hands and turn hands with good postflop value (ie KQs, 99, AQ) into bluffs by 4 betting, especially if you wont know what to do when faced with a shove.

Hand 3, bet sizing looks good pre. As for postflop, I usually check fold against alot of opponents here. You have a very awkward stack size and any cbet just about commits you. There is a lot of hands he can shove on this board... some that you are ahead of, but will have to lay down to a shove, if you make a small cbet like you did. If he called with a big pocket pair hes going with it.

PS. Standard 4 bet size should be around 2.5x his raise, and doesnt commit you to the hand, whether bluffing or 4betting for value.
