Default A couple of noob questions

hi all, my first post (great site btw) i've only been playing bout 3 weeks and i have a question or two i hope you can help me with.
    1. how well or bad did i play this hand ?
2 when i got to the turn i was pretty sure that hitting 1 of my over cards was not going to win me the hand but should i still count them as outs to justify the call?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (9 handed)

    UTG ($2.98)
    UTG+1 ($0.81)
    Hero ($4.94)
    MP2 ($2.90)
    MP3 ($1.04)
    CO ($2.04)
    Button ($1.63)
    SB ($0.96)
    BB ($5.90)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with KcAc.
    1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.02, Hero raises to $0.10, MP2 calls $0.10, MP3 calls $0.10, 1 fold, Button calls $0.10, 1 fold, BB calls $0.08, UTG+1 calls $0.08.

Flop: ($0.61) 8c,9s,2c BB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $0.44, MP2 folds, MP3 folds, Button raises to $0.88, BB raises to $1.32, UTG+1 folds, Hero calls $0.88, Button raises to $1.53, BB calls $0.21, Hero calls $0.21.

    Turn: ($5.20) Qh(3 players)
    BB bets $4.27 (All-In), Hero calls $3.31 (All-In).

    River: ($11.82) 3c (3 players, 2 all-in)

    Final Pot: $11.82

I say preflop is OK, but maybe bet a little more if you are at a table that gives this kind of action routinely. At a tighter table .10 is fine.

C-bet on the flop is good, but I would fold it to this kind of resistance. Two reraises can't be good.

Turn: It's hard to know at this level what people are playing, but I would put BB on a set. They are pretty weak outs, so again, fold seems right.
Sue me if I play too long....

i cbet this alld ay at these stakes very rarely will you get raised

plus at the point of cbet we are happy to see 15 cards on the turn, after the raise and reraise i would probably let it go maybeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee call but i will definitly fold the turn becoz odds are not great enough at this point we can be pretty confident we are only drawing to clubs, perhaps even those that dont pair the board :\

Do we cbet this? Im going to say no...that is way to many players to be cbetting into..plus its at a very loose agg. table. Folding flop every time...with that kind of resistance...remember that a cbet is actually a bluff..people forget this..what is our goal when we cbet..to win the pot right there...obv cbetting in this situation is the wrong move...other whys the PF was decent...probably make the PF bet more on the lines of .15ish as such active table...like the OP said...

With six players I'm very, very reluctant to c-bet ... I might depending on how aggressive I'm feeling at the time and what sort of reads/stats I have on the others, but most likely no.

I am DEFINITELY folding to a raise and 3-bet though.

Then again, I'm a noob too so maybe listen to the gurus more than me.

Problem with these stakes is that villain can easily be on a worse flush or straight draw. I've seen it more than once where someone will push all in to try and a) get me off a hand and b) Get my money in before teh flush comes which I will obviously fold to.

With the betting line I highly doubt this is a NLHE semi bluff with the flush draw...looks like BB has a set here..other villian probably has a) TPTKish b) OESD or highly unlikely but possibally the FD....Oh and tony your never cbetting this table by how "agg" you feel...this table is very app and loose...the type of table where bluffs are useless...dont cbet in this type of situation..

Thanks for all the replys, has given me lots to think about

to end the speculation on what the two villians had:
    BB : 99
    Button : 88

Yes, good point - I guess I would only feel "agg" enough where I thought I was dominating the table and could continue to do so. Happens only on very tight tables - not here. And even then, as I said in my post, still extremely unlikely in any case.

I don't mind the c-bet since you have nut draw and two overs. Checking it is fine in hopes to C/R. I would try to get my chips in on the flop especially against this level of competition.

Sprayed your obv a better player than I...but I dont think the c/r here is a good move...if you check and see that kind of action your two overs are worthless...obv your only outs are to draw towards the nut flush...but in all reality you dont have 9 outs...you would have 7 outs at best...this is still a fold on the flop....

run this through pokerstove and we are way behind...why would we want to push are money in behind...bad move...donk bet...

Your flop play was fine even if they raised it all in at these stakes you cant put them on much maybe top pair or over pairs or 2 pair usually they are playing donkish... on the turn that big of bet you should let go not worth it but flop play was good

Against this competition and with so many people in the hand you are against a very wide range to include someone just having TP, str8 draw, or weaker flush draw. Against this range, your not far behind in this situation. Yes, someone may have 2 pair or a set, but I try not to think this way against weaker competition and I don't give them that much credit until I have seen differently. Keep in mind, OP didn't provide us with any reads.

Yeah your right...im giving the players at these levels to much credit...this is probably a leak in my game....and w/o reads your right....I cant assume here...thanks for the clarification.....
