We really need some kind of read here. Some of those guys will be calling on a str8 draw and bluffing the missed river. Without a good read this is a fold. He's betting almost twice the pot. We can find a better spot.

I thought so and I would never have called if it was not because I hit my set at that river

I did not have any reads, so I should have foldet here

Kind regards and have a nice day

5NL? i am RARELY, if ever, dropping a set. i dont care when i hit it. easy call. maybe a raise was in order, but i doubt it.

    So now I am confused

But if I did have a read and the person was a passiv calling station, it would be a clear fold, right?

When he checks the turn I probably 2nd barrel here.

As played, his line suggests busted draw, or 2pr to me.

chopper this is really bad advice. you have to be good here, what, like 60% of the time? villain MAY show up with a busted straight draw or QJ sometimes but he has the flush and is overbetting because he missed his turn c/r.

No hand we beat calls a raise. When checking the turn, you going to call any reasonable bet. You played this fine, and any Q, Ad or even TT is going to stab. betting the turn folds out a ton of hands we beat.

im calling a reasonable bet all day here, but what about the overbet? pretty much a missed c/r all day right?

move decimal points two places and the river becomes a fold.

opp could easily have QJ and think it's the nuts, so he missed his CR on the turn and tries to make up for the lost value by overbetting the river. Or he could have just had an aneurysm and this is the result, you never can tell at micros. Not often enough to fold a set anyways.

you guys are right. my initial thought was that he would raise QJ on this flop since its pretty draw heavy, but im overthinking it because, well, its micros.

having just left this stake I think calling with no reads was not so good. They love their flush draws. I'm not saying I would have folded this but I think the important thing is lack of reads. We have only put 26cents into the pot and have no need to call an over bet. Defaulting to fold without reads is not that bad imo as there are plenty of other spew monkeys to dance with.

One other thing is if they are over betting with trash it wont be the only time nor will it be the last, find a better spot to clean them out and stack them.
