After my first 9k kands. People over value the heck out of mid and small pairs. I see the following all the time. Player A raises player B reraises. Then when it gets around to player C the pot has around 20 BB. Player C who has over 100 BB will then shove with a hand like pocket 5s. It's like they can't wait to get all there money in with a hand that is at best a small fav and could very well be dominated. Another thing is despite what some say 1/2 and 3/4 pot bets do not seem to be optimal. What i mean is people will call with draws and weak hands like bottom and middle pair even if you bet 1.5x the pot or better. In essence if you raise 1x pot and they call they likely would have called a bet of 1.5 pot

Most people at micros have no idea how to play small-mid pocket pairs postflop, so they'd prefer to just push preflop and save themselves the hassle.

There are some times I am 200% certain the guy just rivered a flush after calling a pot size bet on the flop and the turn.

I still call his river bet and see he was chasing me with middle pair.
Have in mind I raised preflop and the flop was A Q 7. And the guy chased with Q9 or soemthing like that.

true, to a point.

yes, you want to charge premium prices against chasers. yes, if they called a pot sized bet, they would have likely called more.

but, if you bet your missed flops and draws, too, you need to figure out how often those large sized bets need to work to keep them profitable.

if your villains will fold to smaller bets, too, you may consider the fact that you can now steal pots on the flop when you have completely missed, and avoid ramping up such huge pots when they call w/ Q9.

Looking at it now, I think I had to bet more after the flop. Perhaps 0.5 more or something. But something tells me he'd call me anyway.

um, no. make a real 3bet pre to atleast 3x, preferrably 3.5x. Flop is played fine, and just shove the turn, theres no use betting <1/2 pot here.

They will often miss a flop and be forced to fold and you will collect a nice pot!!
