Playing live $1/$2 at the local casino ($5 to open btw, meaning you cannot bet less than 5 dollars when you enter a pot)), 6-handed, guy straddles to $11, I call from MP with 10-J clubs, old guy on the button calls, straddle checks so it's 3-handed to the flop. I'm sitting on $300 or so, they both have me covered. Old guy is a nit who rarely shows much strength preflop. Guy who straddled plays like a tourney player- he is pretty aggressive and stubborn preflop and frequently calls big raises when he can only expect a coinflip or worse. Postflop he plays relatively well, he has decent hand reading skills and value bets his hands well, makes frequent use of probe bets, capable of trapping. I've noticed that he doesn't play draws very hard, in fact he plays them fairly passively. I've been mixing it up with him for a while, pretty sure I raised his straddle the previous round.

Flop comes 6 clubs-9 clubs-3 diamonds, giving me flush draw with 2 overcards. Straddler leads with a pot-sized bet. I think and call, fairly confident from his body language and speed with which he bet that he snagged a nine. I am wary of raising because I feel that I have bad fold equity and the nit's yet to act (he ends up folding). Turn comes a ten of hearts, giving me top pair with flush draw. Straddler leads for $30 into a $90 pot. How often should I be calling here instead of raising (which is the standard line)? It is pretty unlikely that villain has more than 7 outs here if he's behind.
