LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, BOYS AND GIRLS, FISH AND DONKEY'S OF ALL AGES. YES AFTER A LONG LAYOFF HE'S BACK!!!!!! Well first I would like to thank everyone who read my blog before and made it one of if not the mosr read in FTR history for making it so. If you read before I had some personal legal problems. Before any one posts and asks me what happened ect...ect.. As far as I'm concerened thats all in the past and that exactly where I'm going to leave it. If I have learned one thing on this website it's learnig from youre mistakes so in the words of Bill Cinton... dont ask dont tell. I hope thats enough said on that matter.nuff said. The last couple of months I have played as much as I have been able with my work shecdule( I work 5 12 hour days a week plus one or two eight hour shifts on staurday) this I absolutly fucking hate every day but PAYDAY!!! I play just about every saturday at a local bar in a fishpond. $5 buy in with another $5 for suvivor. In the last month or so I have played fairly well. 2 wins , One second place , and a fifth. usually 30 or so people play in this tourney. Made about $120 or so when I won $70 and $80 other nights. Usually when the touney is over and we move on to the side games ( $ 10 unlimited re buys) gets me another $ 40 $50 or so. Usually took a few beating here and again but who doesnt. Now they open the poker rooms in WVA. I am probably going down there tomorrow night and I dont know why but I am so nervous that I cant spit. I have never played in a real casino. I know what I have to do, Show up play good sound fundimental poker, dont get to cute and I think I'll do ok. I am staring completely over as far as BR goes. I called the casino and they told me buy ins on the $1 $2 tables will be $ 50 so I have $500 set aside for my BR to start out with. I know its only 10 buyins but I think If I play smart I sould be ok. Ill try to keep my blog updated once a week. If anyone from FTR is going to WVA just yell out Little Washu( not many have that nick....lol) The only person that looks up wiil be me. Wheeling Island... This will double as a blog entry and a review of wheeling Island poker room. First off if you are planning on going to this casino plan on a long wait and then some. I live in Pittsburgh and I left my house about 6:30 got to the casino about 7:30 . Signed up for the wait list..now this was just about when the second period of the pens game started. Second period ended and they still havent called my name. 3rd period was half over and FINALLY was called to my table. This as far as poker rooms go is a very small one with only 20 tables. Every thing is really very nice tho.. staff is very friendly and helpful as they can. Be prepared to WAIT, I waited almost 2 hours to play...ouch. No free drinks here which sucks. 3 dollar beers at the bar and $ 2.00 while you are playing.. Vegas this aint.. drinks should be free wile you are playing and the wait staff is almost non existant. I waited on average 20 to 30 min to just to get a beer. Yuck they have to work on that. Best plan is to call the casino when you are 30 min away and get put on the list would be a good idea. So I was finally called and promptly had to wait in line to get chips. I having read my FTR br managent tips bought in for $ 60.00. I noticed one reply to my blog said buy ins only $ 50.00 well thats what they said on the phone and thats wrong you can buy in for whatever you please. So here we go I am finally get to play in a casino. Sit down and for some reason I am so nervous I had trouble even looking at my cards First hand am dealt 9h 10h and I just limp in. flop is 3h Jh Qh, ok I hate playing a first hand anhow but I made my flush and have and oprn ended straight flush draw. I rsiae make it $ 12.00 to go. get one caller. Tu rn is 3C I check. Guy goes all in for $ 27.00 I call. He turns over Kh and a rag heart I loose. I am down to $ 27 in chips from my first buy in. Get crap next hand fold I am not going to panick. Next hand look down and I have Ah Ad raise make it $10.00 to go 1 caller flop is 3 6 10 so I just went all in and was called buy a fish with A 10 off. Yeah Little Washu wins his first pot at an real casino. All in all I am very happy with my play the whole night. I remained very paitient the whole night raised when I should have and folded when needed. I picked up 2 very nice pots when I was dealt pocket nines. I raised in lp wit pocket nines and I made it $8.00 to go got 3 callers. flop was 9C 3H 10S. I smartly checked, he checked next card Kh. I check Again. He bets $15.00 and I re reaise to $ 40.00 and he called another nice pot for me. I having read alot on FTR KNOW to look for a table with 1 or 2 limpres. These people were afwul it was like somtimes it was THE WHOLE TABLE limping alot of the time. Won a nice little pot on the button when they all limped i and I was dealt Ks Qs. I put A little pressure on and picked up$12.00 on a walk. I also made sure I told the poker room manager that I was going home and making a post on my FTR blog and made sure I told everyone to make sure that they checked out flop,turn river.com the BEST poker knowledge site on the net. I say this and I mean every FUCKING word the folks here on ftr are the best. this site is a great resoucre of poker knowledge and I tried to put it to use as best as I was able. I set a 2 hour time limit for my self when I statred and when those 2 hours where up I cashed out for $172.00. I am very proud of my play and very proud to point out to anyone who would listen that FLOP.TURN.RIVER.COM helped me play as well as I did, so thanks to all the FTR people out there I learned well !!!!

Tommorow is going to be a busy day for me. Was going bowling last week and I said hey what the hell i'll pull my ball out and clean it up and head out to the alley.
Pulled my 4 yr ball out and looked down....WTF.... there was a crack in it that ran all the way around the ball and around one finger hole ..... hmmm just a hint to everyone out there. When you live in the northeast its not a good idea to leave youre bowling ball in you trunk from april till october. So off I went I need a new ball. Stopped at the pro shop at my alley. For only $173 the guy sells me a ball that will increase my awsome average of 152 to the staggering amount of........
Drum roll Plz...........154. Wow wee that was money well spent huh. But its a nice ball was on sale now all I have to do is learn how to put it to proper use.
Which brings me in a roundabout way to this entry.
Does evryone think on poker as much as I do... I mean I live in pittsburgh and plan on tyring another trip to wheeling island on saturday
I have bowling at 8:30 so I was planninig on driving down to wheeling like 3:00 and playing for a few hours.
About 45min drive for me. Gives me time to think. maybe A bit to much time. Frankly I worry myself... I think all the way down I will think and play diffrent hands all the way down there.
Is this a good thing or bad thing guys
Is it possible to think to much on poker and how you would play hands in given situations
Can you think to much and maybe be to cautious. I think I tend to be an instinct player and if I think to much about stuff will it hurt my game???
Last time down at wheeling early on I was just very nervous and Maybe I think it hurt me a bit early on. Then I settled down and was very happy with how I played.
Still there where spot where I think A bluff or check raise might have taken a pot or 2 for me but I was nervous and afraid to pull the trigger and once passed on a continueation bet that might have won me a nice pot.
I know just about everyone on here has spent more time in a real casino more than I have.
How do you guys handle those creeping self doubts. I can play...I still have alot to learn but I do have some game...But this self doubt and sometimes lack of self confidence worries me. Any advice from you guys would be most welcome..... God bless and good luck to all!!!
