wondering where the 3 extra chairs at my 6max table came from

    Default FR v 6max

K... first of all thx Spenda for the 1st in the vid series. Helpful as always. Hilighted a couple of issues that I continue to struggle with...
(Yeah, yeah, I know i post an f-load for somebody who's only struggling w/ a "couple of issues"..... )

    1. My PFR %. For FR, I struggle to keep it over 6. I put about 5K hands of 6max under my belt w/ no problem getting it over 12. Same fundamental player... Is there usually a natural delta between these two? Seemed to me that I have the oppty to open WAY more pots in 6max (and of course usually do so w/ a raise) vs. FR where I've frequently got at least a couple of limpers. This translates into me limping more hands that I might have raised to open.
    2. EP & MP seem reeeaallly long in FR compared to 6max, where the Bu is 1/4 of the non-blind positions vs. 1/8 in FR. So that seems to be a factor.

Okay... post-flop aggression... also lower for me in FR v 6max cause I'm MW much much more and it SEEMS that the odds are better that someone is at the table with a stronger hand FR 'cause it's MW...

For example, Spenda on 6-max vid raises all PPs pre-flop. In FR I'm concerned that a) the odds are greater someone will RR and b) I don't feel like a mid- to low- PP will play as well unimproved MW vs being able to get HU in 6max. So I raise my 99+ and limp everything else in position. Then when I miss the set and flop overs, I'm also less likely to be aggressive as I believe there's a better chance someone has caught the flop and I'm drawing a two-outer...

Am I just making excuses for being more passive FR?

Hey, I just made a Full Ring video, I ran 20/10. Full Ring seemed pretty easy to exploit as everyone is weak/tight at the lower stakes and their range is just so small compared to a regular at 6max.

I mean, here's a multitabler's range in FullRing, 22+, AJs+, AQo+. That's ridiculous, that's my UTG range in 6max and that's their entire range in FullRing. They also are not positionally aware, meaning they are playing the same range UTG as they are in the CO.

Exploit their nitiness!!! Semi-bluff, raise up the limpers, exploit the TAGG multi-tablers who are just set-mining. Be prepared to fire multiple barrels on low-card flops when a scare-card hits the turn to fold out small PP's and suited connectors that now have weak 1pr hands.

Sarbox, this is how you make money at poker. You adjust to their tendencies. It's not a "if you can't beat em, join 'em" game. Figure out how to exploit what they do and then exploit it TO THE MAX. If they play too tight open your range, if they play too loose, tighten your range. That's exploitation 101, hell, that's exploitation remedial school.

Keep workin on it, we've all been where you are now.

So under the heading of f-in ay....

After watching the Spenda and reviewing this and some recent posts, went to 3-tabling $10NL... only caveat is I'm buying in for $5 (helps protect me a little from some of my "oh sh!t" stupidity...) and closing out of the table when I'm over $10. Understand it sounds stupid, but UB had no $5NL and jumping straight from $2 to $10 was giving me the jimmy leg....

Just closed out 750 hands 7.07 PFR & 8 TAF and more importantly up $25.31 for 16.88/100.

Big changes? (...assuming this isn't just variance I'm blowing out my ass and I still suck...)

    1) Moved from 1/2PSB to 3/4 PSB C-bets... amazing the diff this made in getting people to fold
    2) Played the board more than the cards in my hand when I was in position... took down some sh!t here and some sh!t there with nothing really...
    3) Increased my post-flop aggression (I haven't been running anywhere near 8 at FR before...) and people were dropping left and right.

    So moral of the story?

I gotta watch a Spenda video every time before I play

oh... and that other shit probably helps too.....
