    Default Help w/ hand

Iam not sure if I played this hand correctly... any feedback is welcomed.

    Thxs

    --------

There were 3 limpers (including a maniac) to me w/ JJ so I raised trying to get them out. I made a pot size raise hoping to win it right there but all three limpers called. A king came on the flop so I made a continuation bet and was called by a player who represented as a loose passive type. Garbage came on the turn and I checked for two reasons (1) I feared he had the K and (2) if I bet and was called I would have to risk all my chips due to being pot committed. I was hoping he would check behind me but he didn’t. He bet and I had to fold. Did I play this correctly?

Id probably make it 250 preflop since there are so many limpers in already. 4 way Id probably just check/fold the flop but if you bet it bet a bit more. Your bet there looks very weak. As played definatly check/fold the turn. He has at least a K pretty much always.

Also this forum is mostly cash game hands. The tournament experts are in the Sit and Go and MTT forums down the hall.

#1. "Correctly" is a misnomer here. We can give you our opinions on how we would've played the hand differently, but not everyone is going to agree 100% on how a hand should be played. So, IMHO:

With three limpers, your PFR is not strong enough. Should be at least 300 if you want to take it down there.

As played, on the flop, the CB is also too weak to fold anyone with anything here, and also, a CB into 3 other players is a dangerous proposition without the goods. A check followed by a fold/call/or push might've been a better play. If you have to cbet, you'll have to decide how far you want to go with the hand because a reasonable cbet here will likely commit you to the pot

As played, On the turn, you are either WA, or WB. Considering CO's play up to that point, and your loose/passive read, a fold is probably good. He quite likely has at least top pair to continue on that board.

They call JJ fishhooks for a reason, they stick with you afterwards almost no matter how you play them.
    Hey knucklehead! Bonk!

    Pre-Flop: Raise to 300

Flop: Check/Fold - CB into 3 players on a K-high flop is not going to work well for JJ very often at all.
