wow. that surprises me.
i figured to get the response, "it all depends on board texture and your read."
i play at a level where reads help, but not a lot. in other words, you can still do just fine without focusing on them and playing solid abc poker.
TPTK, to me, rarely puts you in a "marginal" situation. you either flop an extremely strong hand, or you flop something that isnt quite good enough, and by the turn, you prolly have it figured out.
for instance, you have AJo on button, and raise it up. you get a caller from the bb. flop comes J 8 5. sure, there are some draws out, but in all probability, you have a no doubter here. so, you bet. villain calls. turn is T. you bet again. villain calls. option 1)river is K...now you need a read of somekind, but without one, i fire if checked to. or 2) river is 2...and villain donkbets you. now i need a read, but w/o one, am likely calling a value-type bet, but no a bigger one.
however, after a couple 3/4 pot bets, odds are villain is no longer around to see those river scenarios.
if i flop TPTK and fire a couple streets, and villain doesnt go away, i get suspicious, but its going to take me two streets to think i'm beat or being floated.
just my .02
