Default New player and trying to decide

I'm tring to decide on a good poker room. I've narrowed it down to the two biggest ones: Full Tilt and Poker Stars. I want to play tourneys and ring games, but I just want to know which is the best.

If you're playing microstakes, then PokerStars has a lot bigger selection in both cash and tournaments, I think.

What sort of tournaments do you want to play?
Ring - limit or no limit? (omaha etc?)
    Stakes?
How much you planning to deposit?
How much you planning to play?
These gems of information will help people answer the question a little better. Good luck!

Ripper. What are the requirements for clearing the bonus on stars? Do only hands that are raked >$0.40 contribute?

Do NOT sign up for FullTilt directly because you won't be able to get rakeback later. Go through a rakeback affiliate for your initial sign-up.
