Default HELP ME! I AM SUFFERING

    Help me think through this,

I am playing 45 man SNG and I am playing tight to keep my chips, nut it seems everyone else is very loose in the early stages. Well I get to be the SS and then I sit in 14 or 15th spot needing to shove middler pairs.

I generally play cash games and I am making my way to MTT and 45-180 man SNG's. I don't seem to have a grasp on what on starting hands for these evnts. How much do they differ from cash games? I have always heard to conserve chips for the pending blind increaes. Could I be playing too tight? I generally play to a TAG style on cash games (19/16/4). Am I missing something?

Best way to get some advice is to post some specific hands about which you had doubts. It's difficult to say in a vacuum or in general whether you're playing too tight. That said, I do feel that in a multitable SNG you need to loosen up your hand requirements a bit more than in a single table SNG due to the payout structure.

Also, try not to use such a melodramatic title

    lol.

No expert, but I've read that the 45 man sngs have more in common with a MTT than a single table S&G, and another thing I've read is that S&Gs are about chip conservation, but MTTs are about chip accumulation. So I dont think playing the 45s the same as you play a 9 player is the correct move. It might pay off to visit the MTT forum and read the advice stickies there and try to pick up some MTT advice you can apply.
Just dipping my toes back in.

With 45 people Sng you are in full or almost full table most of the time, with blinds increasing, unlike 9 people Sng, in which you can pretty much play only premium hand until the table gets down to 6-7 players, in 45 man Sng you need to open up your game a bit

In mtts your going to get alot of your chips from blind stealing and resteals. You also accumulate alot of chips from attempted blind steals and then firing a cbet and they fold. You definately need to open up your starting hand range and learn spots where restealing is +cev
