For me Tupac is really ill. I understand the argument for him being overrated because his lyrics don't have much substance (There are some good songs of his where he talks about heavy shit). His flow however is awesome. Also, while his lyrics aren't meaningful, his lyrics are good.

I think he is overrated though, just not way overrated. He didn't bring anything unique to rap.

yah "top 5" just goes down to taste. But I think most of our top 20 lists would look similar. Tupac is ill, but he falls a few spots on my list simply because I just dont identify with him that much. Its something about how he carries himself. Also I am not a huge fan of most of his beats. He def doesnt fit into my top 5, prob somewhere between 15-20.

anyone who thinks this doesn't like rap, which is fine - but if you know rap at all then you would know tupac was an incredible talent. yah its funny, the more you say something the more it becomes the popular truth it seems. Lil' wayne is the perfect example.
