Hi, just want to hear some thoughts about my first NL-Hands (played LHE & SnGs for 2-3 years now, but never tryed NL).
No stats for opponent ...

SB bets $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.5, SB calls $1.25, UTG+1 folds.

Turn: ($5) Q (2 players)
SB bets $0.25, Hero raises to $1.5, SB calls $1.25.

River: ($8) A (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: $8

Raise the turn harder and bet the river? Or calldown since many hands in range could have made a better two pair, set or straight?

BTW since this is my first post here ... what about my english? I'm coming from Europe

Your english isn't bad at all!

I like the flop raise, I'd prolly make it $4-5 on the turn.. I think the river check behind is ok as well.

Hi and welcome to FTR, it's good to have you here!

I'm originally a SNG-only player too, and one thing that I was told when I first started playing NL ring was that bets and raises should be closer to pot size rather than 1/2-2/3 pot as in SNGs. Therefore, on the flop, unless somebody flopped a set, you have a strong hand but one that is vulnerable to holdings such as 87 and QJ, I would make it $2 to go.

As played, on the turn, I would make it at least $4, and if he calls that bet then definitely check behind on the river.

I agree with making a bigger raise on the turn, this raise was crappy since I thought to long what he might have. But if he calls $4-5 on the turn, what should he call a ~$10-bet on the river with? Won't he fold jacks or even kings, but call with any higher two pair?
