    Default Leveling up

Well, i started at 5nl and then when i got my bankroll up i moved to 10nl. the problem is that i win very easily at 5nl but im not winning (and actually losing) at 10nl.

Is moving up one level (even at this mircolimit) that much a difference? I find it weird that i never end with a losing session at 5nl but normally do at 10nl.

i had to go down again to get my BR up again. at least ive been starting to break even for my last 2k hands. i just don't one day want to move up from 10nl and be scared shiatless coz of what happened here (whenever that will be )

I seriously doubt there is a skill difference between $5 and $10NL games, its more likely that you are not playing your best when you move up due to being scared or trying to force it. The more experience you get at that level the easier it will become.

Also there is no shame in moving up and moving down again, eventually you will find your feet. Just keep trying to improve your game and whilst playing within your bankroll and things will work out.

Maybe try to get involved with the session reviews some of the FTR people were organising, I'll review a session for you if you want. PM me

    Me too I play $10NL.

I read Slanksy and Miller over Christmas. The difference it has made to my game is unbelievable. Maybe try that.
This is not my signature. I just write this at the bottom of every post.

I also don't really think there's too much of a difference in the skill level of players between NL5 and in NL10. Keep on doing the same things you're doing at NL5 if that what makes you a winning player there. I have a feeling you might just be on the bad side of variance.

    Good luck.

I remember the same thing when I moved to 10NL. It took me along time to realsie that the only problem was that I played differently when I moved up. I thought people were making moves so I called more. I even tried to bluff some. Basically you have to realise that most of the players here still suck just as bad as before. If you can play the same game youll be fine.

I think it is normal to struggle when you move up a level. Having a winning session almost everytime at $5 NL I think you will adjust to $10 pretty quickly. 2 k hands is nothing to really base anything on. Just go back to basics in the articles here and I think you will quickly find what works for you on $10 and probably make the move to $25 pretty quickly which at least for me was an easier adjustment than going to $10.

I agree 100% with Pellion. I've found that I think the game changes more than it actually does. Just stick with what you've been doing.
