limp calling pf...when and where?

Ok I find most of the time i am limp calling seems to be with pocket pairs preflop. I would think by widening what I am limp-calling with occasionaly would make my game a little more unpredictable for opponenets. In what situations are you limp calling?

FR or 6max?

I open raise everything that I choose to play at 50NL 6max. If there is a mediocre LAG behind me I tighten up and am more likely to 4bet. If there is a good LAG behind me I leave.

Sorry, I need to reclarify my post. I am playing full ring tables. What I meant to say was when would be a decent situation to limp preflop, and when someone acting after you raises, would you ever call that raise? Does this solely rely on your preceived image of the raiser? If he is very loose with his raises I can see myself calling in that situation. What other times would you limp, and then cold call a raise preflop?

pot odds are pretty key in a situation like that. if everyone else calls behind, maybe you should too ...

that being said, i would rather be raising when i get into pots than limp/calling.

OK, now your question is clearer. There are two main factors to consider - pot odds and implied odds, and the number of people to act after you.
For example - you have JTs and limp in CO, with two limpers from MP, button raises to 3BB, SB calls, BB folds, one of the MPs call and the other fold. All players have at least 30BB deep stack.
You need to call 2BB into a 12BB pot, and you are closing the action, that is an easy call.

Same situation, you limp JTs from the CO with two limpers in MP, button limps, SB completes, BB raises to 3BB, both MPs fold. Now you have to call 2BB into 8BB pot, and there are two people who can still reraise behind you - I would fold this

don't limp crap from crap position

if you limp on the button and blinds raise, fine call it

if you have a hand like 66 on CO, limp call it

if you have a hand like 22 UTG, fold it if you're not on a table or with the ability that you can show +EV by raising it

The only time I'd consider limp calling as a play is with a big pocket pair limping UTG, and everybody folds to the SB/BB who raises me. Then I might call instead of re-raising depending on the situation
