    Default Bet too much???

    Hi,

take a look at this hand - did i bet too much? I never slow play a set but felt as though the 3/4 pot bet pushed out a potential chaser. Maybe should have made it 1/2 pot? (which i beleive will ruin odds to chase the flush)

    Cheers

You're not going to get paid off on every big hand. You played it fine.

it's fine. btw, i think an opponent on a flush draw might have the correct odds to call here. i think if the turn is a diamond then he could take your entire stack. his implied odds are big. betting half the pot is not a good idea on that flop with so many players in the hand.

    Thanks for your input.

Howerver, this is only the case if both players call. But i do see your point - it really needed a pot bet.

    Cheers
