Am I really a moron?
Hey folks,
I got a question. Lately I've been playing a lot of 2-table Turbo SnGs at Stars. (1,50+25). And so far I have been doing pretty well. I start out playing extremely tight and try to pick up a few easy pots and wait for the big hand to double me up. In the first three levels I usually play less than 20% of my hands. As the blinds increase I loosen up a bit, but not very much. When I have reached the final table I stay tight until the blinds are 200/400. Then I start to push quite a lot from the button and the small blind. Finally when it gets down to 4 or 5-handed (depending on chipcounts) I transform into quite a maniac. If I have the chiplead I push with a really wide range of hands (every face card is just fine), telling my opponents, that they have to play for their whole stack if they want to play. At this time no one wants to got out next. I push with just about every hand (even 72o) if their is someone with a really really small stack at the table and I am up against a middle stack.
Now my question. Tonight I finished third in a SnG. After I was busted the other two chatted about what a moron I was and how glad they are I was out. That is actually a good sign isn't it? It means I pushed them off of some hands they wanted to play and stole some blinds they wanted to steal, doesnt it?
