How and how much should I bet?

WITH TPTK OR AN OVERPAIR (EVEN ACES), Bet HALF TO 2/3 THE POT throughout the hand. IF YOU ARE RAISED (EVEN MIN. RAISED) YOU ARE BEAT. Lay it down unless you have a strong redraw of some sort. As long as you are just being called then you are going to win the hand 90% of the time. When you get raised, you are beat 90% of the time. Nothing in poker is 100%. Someone can bluff you with this rule. And sometimes really passive players will never raise if you're betting into them.

Should I bet 2/3 with every round? Should I bet more on the river? I have a problem with TPTK and 2pairs, as from my stats I seem to be losing MUCH more than what i should.

I think my problem is if someone calls on the flop. I tend to think he must have something and therefore I just check (which I think is a weak sign) or bet the same amount and not 2/3.

But I feel that way coz most of the time I lose to a better hand. The passives I mostly get just calls or checks.

I would like to keep playing TPTK and 2pair (and win), but I'm starting to feel uncomfortable playing it...

How do anyone else here play those hands?

With TPTK I bet the flop usually pretty hard somewhere between 2/3-3/4. If I get a call my turn bet is usually anywhere between 1/2-3/4. If I get a call on the turn that is when I start to get worried and try to take a damage control. If you are betting the same on the turn as the flop people will catch on and start raising you relentlessly. Betting strong into the turn strong will give off the impression of a strong hand and prevent opponenants from drawing out on you.

I guess I just have to keep my betting strong. Can I ask something else: what if the turn creates a flush or straight draw? Is the chance that he now has a draw so small that it's a good decision to bet strong again on the river?

Alot of this depends on how loose/donkish your opponents are
