    Default Add in raise Axs?

    Hi,

I have been thinking about raising all Axs preflop to my game. Thoughts?

What are the stats on flopping a flush? 4% ? Also 2 pr, trips, 4 to flush are big potential winners. I'm currently raising all pp's and take down most pots with cbets. Of course I could fold to a c/r unless i flopped something hidden.

that would most likely make you way too loose pf, and would lead to a lot more players reraising you pf and attempting to steal pots postflop.

if this is what you are after, then sure. but weak two pair hands (top and bottom) in big pots are scary. you may find that by opening up too much your cbets which used to be profitable are now being called way too much.

Maybe in the hijack/co/button otherwise it's too loose to make it standard.

I think it's ok as long as you don't do it all the time. I would do it more in position, and at tighter tables. At real loose tables there's not really a need to do it in early position. Also check the sticky in this forum for % to flop flush (it's <1% - http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...poker-9366.htm)

Stealing blinds with Axs/Sc's/gappers is +EV.

You can raise Axs in LP if first in but otherwise I would recommend limping accordingly depending on the kicker.

    Default Question

    Hi Terry,

You said you raise all PPs (generally of course) and follow
with Cbet. What will u do at turn if u get called or reraised.

    Say u raise 4xBB preflop with 66.

    Flop is rainbow: K39

    U c bet 1/2-2/3 pot.

    What would u do:

    a) Get called
    b) reraised 2-3x (obvious fold I guess).

What If U had TT,JJ instead of 66?

well more than likely they just minraise, and i call hoping to make a set on the turn, and fold to aggression on the turn if i miss.

also a lot of times they just call the flop looking to check-raise turn.. i usually dissapoint them when i check behind on the turn, looking for a free card/showdown cheap.

doesnt change much with TT JJ vs 66 on that board, they are repping a K, or a low set.

Most big hands you play will be somewhat obvious draws. Isn't this difficult OOP?

    You answered your own question.
