Boring question about short-stacked donkeys

A short-stacked donkey sits down at your 100NL table with $20, and his plan seems to be to lose it as fast as possible as he raises 5 of his first 10 hands and now has $25. He raises to $3 again, it's folded to you and you're dealt a big ace on the button. You re-raise for value to $10 (just in case one of the blinds has something), everyone else folds and the donkey calls. The flop comes with three rags and he checks to you, do you always put him all-in?

Against short stacks I tend not to re-raise that big ace, thus you're not left with this decision..

i disagree - 1/5th of the buy in is equivalent to having $5 at a 25NL table (but the $5 he won would be like 30 more cents? I would push them all in preflop if i had the chance, but once it's heads up, yeah - push it in - I push it in worse spots just to give myself a chance to suckout on some dumbazz and listen to him complaining

Mcat: Yes, I usually just stick it in (it's less than a PSB). Unless they have a pocketpair, 2/3 of the time you will still be good, and the other 1/3 you probably have 25% equity or so.

That's too much money to risk with a hand like AJ or AQ when my preflop equity against the short stack isn't better than 60-40 and one of the blinds might have me crushed.

If I was in the big blind I'd push for sure.

I re-raise to some amount, call a push, stick it in on any flop and hope he missed.
