    Default expanding preflop hands.

What is most players next step, when you decide to add hands to your preflop range? I have started to loosen up with position, but am afraid that my hand requirements are getting too loose (like any suited). Would you add suited and connected only? Would just any suited be ok? How about just connected? After position, which I'm already paying attention to, what would be the next sets of hands to use? This is all assuming that you have a descent post flop game as well, not holding TPWK on flush boards and such. If the progression is "19 hands" then, I assume, position then, again I assume, loosening hand requirements, What is loosening and what is losing???

Depends what limits you play at. At the lower limits, don't bother, even the best players will play a rock tight game because it's all you need to win. At the higher limits it's time to start varying your game because people will be watching you, but how much (looser) depends on your opponents.

you can play TAG or LAG at low limits and win either way, but winning by playing LAG takes much more effort. plus if you like to multi-table it is much harder to play LAG when you play a bunch of tables especially when just starting. players are pretty bad at low limits so LAG might get kind of tiresome if you're not really good at it. as far as what hands to start loosening up with...suited connectors are probably the 1st group of hands to add - don't just start playing any 2 suited cuz it gets expensive.
