How could I have played better? Pushed a flush draw and hit, had the Ace so knew I had the highest flush.

I know I could of semi bluffed the flop and turn, but again, I was beat the entire time. (Semi bluffing has become a leak for me at these micro stakes, people will call ANYTHING) He didn't do anything to give me reads, what could I have done?

Semi bluff when you have fold equity, at the micro stakes [especially $5nl] you dont have that.

I wouldnt hate a flop fold because the pot isnt laying you good enough odds and the board is paired, so yea you are probably getting good enough implied odds, but you cant be sure your hand [if you make it] would win.

Even at $5nl, it should be obvious to your opponent you made a flush and he doesnt seem to care. You drew to your hand and made it on the river, so I dunno if you can lay it down. Im kind of adding to your questions in this thread, how do you [omniscient you, not you specifically] play strong draws heads up OOP? Would a check raise have accomplished anything on this board?

tough at those micro's cause it seems like so little to call. probably would of folded or re-raised on the turn.

I like how you randomly change from Hero to halogenX.

Sometimes you get a good hand that is beaten by an even better hand.

Takes a very good read to avoid doubling him up there.

At $5NL, never semi-bluff as people will fold only to consistent large bets (if ever).

Guy open limps with TT in 6-handed? There's no way you could expect that. Make sure you note that he "pushes with the nuts on river after minor betting along the way" It's very reasonable to fold on his push even though you made your hand. I'd have wagered he had 23s given his betting pattern.

That's the reason I hate/don't play Axs. If the board shows a flush it either dries up, or someone doesn't care (like your opponent).

There's nothing wrong with folding the flop/turn or to his push on the river.

Man this stuff happens, I get this all the time too. Sometimes you'll be the one with the boat to even this out, remember that.

With a read I may lay this down though.. you suddenly "wake up" when a flush completes on the river and he pushes? If they don't have the flush beat, they probably call here. Might be a somewhat lower flush too though, albeit unlikely.

With the third diamond on the turn and his all in bet I assumed he hit the flush, but he was bluffing and I had him beat the entire time...? Was there anything I could've done?

Without a read this should be a fold, you have TPTK on a paired board with a clear flush and KT makes a straight, just fold here and try to get your money in as a bigger favorite against this guy.

BEWARE THE MINIMUM BET!! It is often a sign that the guy wants more $$ in the pot but doesn't want to chase you away! You might have wanted to raise him on the flop to find out where he's at. This will quickly tell you as he will probably not be able to resist reraising you hoping you have the 3. A flop of T33 is not likely to have hit too many holdings and if you raise and he calls you he probably has hit the flop pretty hard (either a pair of Ts or trips/fullhouse). In this hand you should have pushed harder before you hit your draw simply to figure out whether your draw is live. This would get him to raise you earlier in the hand before you make your flush. If he is a true newbie he won't resist getting his stack in on the turn. It is hard to know what he has as it is microstakes and many play any 2 and there was no preflop raise. But his all in push when the flush gets made on the river is probably not a bluff (why bluff $2 into a 0.40 c pot?) so he either has a smaller flush (which is not likely as he bet the whole time) or trips or a monster like a full house. Here you might want to let it go as he is overbetting the pot rediculously. Pick your spots to stack people and IMO this isn't one of them..


The second situation is a definite fold. If the guy has the stones to bluff into a board like that w/ 7 high give the man some credit. Not a good place to double up w/ TPTK because just about the only thing you can beat is 76o....Also make note that this guy is an ATM machine and hope to make a withdrawl when you have a monster...
