top pair on monotone board facing 3-bet... 5/10 HU

I had been playing this guy for about 5 minutes when this came up. Early on he had been ragging on me to "speed it up" while I was trying to set up my preferences (I hadn't played at the site in an year or so), so he had gotten under my skin a little. I'd taken a sizable pot off him a few minutes before this when I rivered the nut flush against what was probably trip aces. I haven't seen any of his hands yet, but he had been playing aggressively, and wasn't one to back down. I'd also had gotten somewhat frustrated by the fact that sometimes when I enter an amount to bet, the numbers would show up in the chat box, and if I don't catch this glitch I'd end min-raising/min-betting.

So maybe I was tilted from metagame reasons when I played this hand, it's hard for me to say. Let me know what you think of how I played this hand, how you think I should've played this hand, if you think I was on tilt etc.

Seems pretty marginal to me. He might be on some marginal draw like QJ... then again he could have overpair. I think you are slightly ahead or way behind. So I guess to try to answer your question, yes, it seems a bit tilty to me, I would have folded to his push. Your first reraise seems fine though... Might as well find out. But why bet for info if you are gonna call his push anyways?

Then again, maybe it was brilliant and he was doing this with air

Looks like tilt to me yes. You shouldn't let people get under your skin so easily, it's exactly why they do this - so you'll make calls like this

I don't think you can make this call without a club, or at least a gutshot.
Maybe you can call it with two pair... but this is a board that you can lay a set down and feel good about it.

possessed, I don't really know if I like this hand to be honest. First, I'm not really a very experienced HU NL ring player. Most of my HU ring experience is on stars with the backwards blinds. Anyway I'm not really crazy about the pf call. Even HU J9o plays like such dogshit to pretty much any range OOP and without initiative.

Don't really like flop either. If I'm playing PF, it's not with the intention of getting it allin with a shitty top pair with a shitty kicker with no big redraw by any means at all. That said, I don't really like the flop c/r, because I hate getting it allin here. I think calling the push is slightly -EV, but probably closer then a lot of people think. That said, if calling is a mistake, the flop c/r effectively makes our hand air...

fwiw, I'd probably fold pf and lead the flop. If not lead, probably c/c and try to peel off a safe card. I'd rather c/r with 23o or Ac2c to be honest, but maybe that sucks for metagame reasons?

On the flop, the default play would have been to check-call. By check-raising I opened up another round of betting, and with top pair meh kicker no draw against a LAG, it likely wasn't the optimal play. As Lukie already mentioned, I should not have CR the flop with a hand I wasn't comfortable sticking it AI with.

Results: ad-devil flips over 68s, river and turn bring blanks, PO$$E$$ED goes BUSTO.

You know, I was just being hyperbolic. I don't think you can actually lay down a set on this flop, certianly not unless it was like bottom set 6-way limped with multiple raises on the flop. Even then, you are probably going with your hand.

I was just trying to say it's a scary flop.
