in 6 Days I have managed to get 82 points. That is not a whole lot but at micro it is not easy. I don't think. I seen in another post somewhere that someone could "host" a private table and so on.. Seen all the things they have to offer in the "store".. Any ideas on what these should be used for.. also I have seen FR for like 40 points or something... is it worth it?

Do what you will with FPP. Buying some of the cheesey items they sell seems kind of silly to me, so I use them for freerolls. They can be kind of pricey, esspecially for micro level, but there are SnG FPP satelites to the sunday gauranteed and other various tournaments. I won one of these once and sold my seat for $190 so I turned 1500 FPP into $190, which I was completely satisfied with. You can also do a 500 fpp with 3 tables, but you have to win. You can also split the pot if you want to.. have one person send you half the money and you let him win, etc.

As for FPP at the low levels they seem kind of worthless. Last year I had around the same bankroll as you and just let them add up. By November I had around 4000-5000 and used them for some satellites... I would let them add up.

Also one other thing... I know people that buy the gear they sell on pokerstars and sell it for a profit on ebay, since you can not purchase anything without FPP. I am not sure how much money you can actually make doing this, but still an idea.

I know your FPP balance is low right now and it will be low for the time being but don't worry you see it grow as your Br does, the biggest thing i can see you saving up for is. 500 FPP MTT's to the Million gaur, those things are easy 100 person field and final table gets seats.

I wish you could just convert FPP directly into cash, but I guess PokerStars doesn't want to let us do that. If you're a low-stakes player, and you're any good at tournaments, I would agree that the FPP satellites might be your best bet, because it actually gives you a shot to convert it into real money.

I have 46000 FPP right now and I'm not sure what to do with them either. I'm thinking of either spending 30000 FPP on the $500 travel gift certificate, or else taking a summer vacation in Las Vegas and using 62000 FPP to buy into one of the WSOP preliminary events. I'm sure I'll have more than enough FPP by then, to do that.

Just so you know, the websites that buy people's T$ in mass quantities are a rip-off, I wouldn't recommend using them at all. If you ever win one of these seats again, many posters on this site, including myself, would be willing to pay you at least $200 for it.

That is something worth knowing. As much as I would love to play in something like that, I am sure It saves both persons money in the long run.

You most likely wont achieve that by playing SNGs, the people getting the most are high stakes cash game players. I think it was less than two weeks into january that atleast one cash game player had achieved supernova status (earning 100,000 VPP), at that status and at that level of play youi could get that porsche in less than a year because they accumulate FPPs much much faster and get so mnay just from their sheer volume of play.

The player you are referring to is ElkY. He used to be one of the best StarCraft players in the world so I guess he has the ability to make decisions, and move his mouse around really quickly, and he plays a huge number of tables at once. He plays a lot of SNGs and a lot of cash games, I'm not sure which type of game was the main way he became a SuperNova. I've also heard that ElkY is one of the biggest losing players in the very high-stakes SNGs, which makes you wonder why he even bothers to go for SuperNova status if he wasn't even making money in the process.

I used to play lots of SNGs and now I've mostly switched to cash games (100NL) and I'm getting FPP's a lot slower now than I used to. I guess I'll have to move up in stakes before I start getting lots of FPP's again.

if you 8 tabled 215's and did around 50 a day.

Thats 6000 a day 300 days a year thats 1.8 million at a ROI of 8%

you would be up around 250k for the year.

You'd get more than that in points because FPPs accumulate faster at the supernova level and all the other levels, youd easily get the 3 million for the Porsche doing this.

Ive gotten two books and they usually take around 2 weeks to arrive in my experience

I've played in a few tournaments with Elky, and he seems very Kill Philish to me. He pushes all in a lot, even into high stacks. Often he'll race AK, AQ, or KQs against a high stacks 88-QQ. He also pushes 77-JJ, which gets him into domination trouble with people who know this.

My opinion is that he mismanages fold equity. This is his bad trait. he makes up for it to a certain extent with tight reads, but it doesn't take too many shakes of the lambs tail to throw off a read, leaving him with broken ranges.
