Default Bad Line or Bad Luck?

The reason why I played so passively was because my read on SB is he is very tight.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

    Button ($84.95)
    SB ($95.90)
    IOS ($246.75)
    UTG ($200.95)
    MP ($87.45)
    CO ($48)

Preflop: IOS is BB with J, J.
UTG calls $2, 1 fold, CO calls $2, 1 fold, SB raises to $6, IOS calls $4, UTG folds, CO calls $4.

    Flop: ($20) 5, 4, 9 (3 players)
SB bets $10, IOS calls $10, CO calls $10.

    Turn: ($50) 3 (3 players)
SB checks, IOS checks, CO bets $32 (All-In), SB calls $32, IOS calls $32.

    River: ($146) 7 (3 players, 1 all-in)
    SB checks, IOS checks.

    Final Pot: $146

    Results in white below:
SB has As 9s (one pair, nines).
IOS has Jh Jd (one pair, jacks).
CO has 4s 7s (two pair, sevens and fours).
    Outcome: CO wins $146.

Well personally I dont like the call on the flop i reraise that... and the turn I also dont like the check it gives CO more incentive to think his hand is good... and after that push you have to call and the river is just bad lucky but you let him have that luck
    I am that fish...

    currently broke as a joke...

    I think it's okay.

I play some really tight players like that, keeping the pot down.

I'm sure there's plenty of merits to raising both preflop and on the flop.

If a player is tight...raise him, he will tell you if he has anything.

I played this hand like an absolute wuss. I deserved to get sucked out for that one. I better line would have been to minraise the flop. You minraise the flop, he decides TPTK is the nuts and pushes. Do you call or fold?

Exactly, I would re-raise that flop. I don't like over pocket pairs for some reason, I like to get as much info as possible even if I think they should be in the lead. A flop re-raise should have told you what you needed to know. This hand ended up playing out kind of weird but none the less...

    Bet the river?
