I've been playing PLHE recently, particularly the low-mid buyin tables.
I decided to do this because I didnt want to risk a lot of my stack on any one hand, which is always possible in NL.

So far nearly all sessions I have been profitable even when multi-tabling, however on two occasions I have lost my stack in one hand..

The situation occurs when holding trips that improve to full house at the river VS trips that improve to quads at the river.
In NL I can imagine this kind of situation rarely occuring (am I right?), but this has happened to me a few times now at PL.
This appears to be the only real negative aspect of my game, and I'm wondering what other PL or NL players' thoughts are, and what I can do to pick up on this situation....

...or maybe it's just a bad beat?!

you arent really going to be risking any less of your stack in PL than you are in NL, not on the hands where you would lose your stack anyway.

If you are losing FH of a PP to quads, whatever. Ill pay that off gladly, especially at low stakes (I assume low stakes, 25NL/PLish?)

arkwon- how often do you think full houses run into quads in any form of texas holdem (assuming there aren't trips on the board)?

I did figure it was really an uncommon occurence I just have to put up with, but how hard is it to put an opponent on this hand?
Has anyone folded their fullhouse here?

PLHE is rigged!

PLHE is much easier to rig than NLHE. Consider:

-since players cannot bet more than the pot, it's easier to make quads on the river.
-it is almost impossible to tell that a PLHE game is rigged, on account of teh fact that players cannot bet more than the pot.
-Limiting bet amounts to the current size of the pot causes the rigging of games to be accomplished more easily.

no, nobody lays down a full house in PL anything. 'cept Royal Hold Em
