    Default STUPID Question - BB?

    Sorry everyone, searched around a bit - and still can't find it. I hear and read all this stuff about BB (Big Bets.)

    What is that equal to?

    Say I'm playing 0.02/0.04 Limit. What would a BB be = to?

    And what is a good winrate - as in how many BBs per hour?

    I'm sure this has been answered a ton before - maybe I just suck at searching.

    Thankyou!

    If the BB is .04 (not the big blind, but the BIG BET on the turn/river), then you should bring at least $1 to the table. That would be BB= .04 X 25= $1 .
    I've heard this formula ranges from BB X 20-25.

    For limit, they say a good earn rate is one BB per hour. So with that you will be making 4 cents per hour. Big bucks there.

    BB= Big Bet. Its the maximum that you can bet in a limit game on the turn and river. In a .02/.04 limit game:

    .01 = small blind
    .02 = big blind
    .04 = big bet

    As far as win rate goes. Anything positive is good obviously. 1.5/100 and 2/100 is a good winrate.

    Thankyou guys! Appreciate the answers.

    I think maybe I'll jump up a level. Winning is going slow at this level - but it's still going.

    BB is a little confusing because it means 2 things.

    It means Big bet as has been mentioned before (which is 2xBig Blind) but it also means Big Blind.
    To know which it is you need to read the context.

    E.g. The turn card was the A. The BB bet into a pot of 7BB.

    The turn card was the A . The guy sat on the Big Blind bet into a pot of 7 Big Bets.
