Default I'd like to thank FTR & the people here!

    Hey everyone!

Im glad I joined the forums here, since I first post here just under a week my game has picked up big time!

I was playing single tables out of my limit, calling everything that looked half decent, flop % way over 35, ect...

My main problem was a bankroll that was all over town, up and down like a yo-yo.

But now after following some good pointers from the community here, I've developed a good focused attitude and begun multi-tabling the baby limits (0.01-0.02 at stars) and ive finally hit $60 (started with $50 3 weeks ago and believe me its dipped down a few times)

thanks again everyone, hope I can keep learning off you all. Cheers

But, still, be ready for this rollercoaster:

    hey Admerylous,

thanks, I have read that post. Very insightful, its good to know what can happen if you don't stay true to your game.

thats what I like about this site, theres so much experience of others to read as well.

Congrats man. I need desperately to move to stars so I can play some micro limits. My initial $50.00 at party is down to $18 from playing .50/1 for about a week.

    hey hagakure,

thank you. You should do it, you cant help but pick up a few things from the sheer volume of hands you can play at micro limits...(as long as you dont go betting crazy.)

It's good too because even at the NL tables the most you'll lose (from 0.01-0.02 NL) if you make a big mistake is $5 which is the max buy-in.

My bankroll isn't big enough to play confortably any higher anyway. :P

Good going! You made the right decision by following the advice. Keep analyzing you play, your game, your attitude and your opposition. Know what you're playing, why you're playing it, why you're playing where you are and against the competition your playing, etc.

Not only can you improve your decision making regarding cards by reading FTR, you can also start to learn WHERE to play, what games provide what action, etc. It's an endless well. Plus you can help others along as you go. Win/Win.

    Good luck.

Yea still going strong, started 4-tabling micro limits, it really helps you keep your flop % down! Got mine to a modest 15-20% now.

Also bumped my roll upto $70, this site has really helped my game and build discipline

    thanks again everyone.

Wow I know I thank the community a lot here but Im still going strong using the techniques i've learnt from FTR.

Im upto $90 now and finding my play is beginning to flow, you see similar styles of hands play out and I find im starting to know when to fold/steal/raise/call certain pots.

It's nice once you find your groove. Looking forward to moving to 0.05-0.10 in the future for the added challenge.

I imagine each level has its own unique style of play? Anyways thanks again!

I imagine each level has its own unique style of play?

Generally it's tighter as you go up, tempered by the fact that some good players recognize that everyone is playing tight and get in there to pick up the pots.

I see, well I suppose you learn and adapt as you move up. Things to look forward to anyway. cheers
