Sometimes it is just hard to let them go before the flop isn't it?

So I have a question, percentage wise over a long haul session. How often should you be folding?

Lets narrow it, over a hundred hands, how many would you say you should call on?

Depends.....
Are you playing tournament poker or ring games?
If a ring game, how many players are on the table?
Limit or NL?
Table texture will also factor in once you have been sitting for 100 hands too.

I'll say you should see 15-20% of the flops if your playing fairly tight. Which is considered smart poker in most good player's book.

I am going with 200% divided by the number of players, as a rough estimate.
Raise about as often as you call.
Raise more in tight games, and call less.
See more flops in passive games, with not much raising.

I made it up. I think it is pretty accurate though.

It is probably more like 180% but the math is easier at 200

in really tight games, which you shouldnt be playing in the first place, you're going to need premium hands

in passive games, limp when the hand is worth it.

Heh.. I've never thought of it that way.. I like it.

the biggest hand i've ever had was me limping with 7,4 spades on the button in a family pot, flopped a straight flush.

can't complain about a $90 pot in a .25/.50 NL game.

I'll limp with just about any reasonable hand on the button if it's a family pot.
