personally, i find all the situations where i lose money, and i stop losing money in them. next, i start gaining money in those situations. after that, i look at all the situations where i'm gaining money, and i try to gain more money. then i go up a limit lose it all and start over again.

I just registered PokerTracker on Saturday. I am pretty overwhelmed with it right now. But I'm not planning to study any statistics until I have at least 2k or 3k hands in my database (is that a large enough sample?).

Perhaps someone could post a SPECIFIC leak that they discovered and eliminated through PTracker. That woud help me to start using it.

I go through PT sometimes just to sort through hands I lost money on. If I am unsure if I made the right play or not, I'll post it on FTR.

EasyT: Once you get 3k hands, just make a post with all the main statistics and I'm sure someone will point out what doesn't look right. After doing this a couple times you will start to get an idea what to look for.

    Thanks, Gabe.

I've up to now only been able to play break-even NL Holdem. I will post my stats at 3k hands and see what everyone thinks. Hopefully I'm ahead by then. I have 1400 hands in my history now (and about $4 profit, HA! How's that for a stat that needs fixing: 0.005 BB/100!).

It'll take me several weeks to get the other 1.5k. I look forward to hearing your input then!!
