    Default Depositing money?

I have been a victim of ID theft alreday, so I am kind of leery about putting CC or bank info on-line. Does anyone know if I could make a deposit using those Visa gift cards you can get at a bank. They work just like a credit card at most places.

BTW I love this site. The people on here are eager to help and give great advise. I have used it to wine a nice size amount in livel cash games in the area, and wanted to start playing online.

Poker sites would accept the Visa gift cards. The problem is that the bank may not accept transactions for online gaming. There's really no way to tell for sure if they will allow it or not. I'd expect you could use such a gift card through a service like neteller if it didn't work directly at the site. Neteller is going to charge a fee for this though, I believe.

Use Netteller. They have a feature where you can write them an electronic check in the amount that you want, and you're good to go. It's basically the same as writing a check and mailing it, except you're punching in the numbers over the internet.

That's the way I did it, and it seemed to work for me. Good luck.

P.S. Identity theft sucks. Just last week I came home and my GF was almost in tears because somebody ripped $2000 away from her bank account using her PayPal account. Her bank gave her the money back so it's cool. Did you get your stuff back?

Someone opened icharge accounts in my name, ran up charges, and never paid, putting bad marks on my credit. I used Pay Pal alot for Buying and selling on eBay. I wonder if they arent as secure as you would think

I set up a new bank account just for dealing with internet transactions. The only money sitting in there (very briefly) is waiting to go out, either to neteller/paypall/wherever or back into my regular account.

    But maybe I'm just paranoid.

Neteller does a pretty intense background check on you when you perform the online check deposit like Ultimate George mentions. You have to answer surprisingly personal questions based on your credit report and they actually call you up to personally verify your info. They don't mess around. They seem very legitimate.

If you do the instant check they charge 8.9%. But if you do the 2-3 business day one, it's free.
