Do you guys like this play, given stack sizes, etc? There was quite the discussion afterwards.

no, too often you're just setting yourself up to get crushed. You're only ahead of aq/ QJ(wtf), but most of the time your only callers will be ak/aa/kk/qq and you're probably gonna lose

    Yeah, but I didn't want a caller.

I wanted to go heads up with Mr. $5.25, and have $7.25 extra to cover some odds if I'm behind.

But hey, if he's got QJ, he can call.

hmm. well i didn't notice the other guys stack was short too. Given they're both short, I don't think its terrible, but i still wouldn't do it probably.

I'd make this play and like it a lot in a tournament setting, but not in a cash game. I agree with the above posters, you're usually getting called by a better hand.

With the two short stacks if I feel like a gamble with limited risk I might do it.
I'll be a rootin' tootin' shootin' damn fool, protectin' my chips.

you see a lot of short stacks pushing with lower PPs, if you have that read it's a reasonable play... and I assume you had that read since dude raised 4x UTG with QJs! Beee zare.
