Default Question: Do SC's lose their value online?

reading Doyle's book, he loves the suited connectors, but was wondering what its like online? i.e. because ppl are tighter, do you still get the implied odds in the long run? same with Axs Kxs etc?

esp hands 89s below... lose most of value?

only if you play them to hit str8's and flushes. If you know how to play draws with aggression and initiative they are still a great value.

I think in tight games they are garbage unless you are trying to steal blinds with them and hit. They are unplayable from anywhere but late position and can end up inducing you to spew chips at non-nut draws.

Does anyone that uses PokerTracker that has a significant amount of hands in the database show a profit with hands like 23suited-78suited? I'm a loser with 23s to 78s and a winner with all SC's that are higher, but I throw those cards away in the SB all the time and don't defend my big blind with that kind of stuff very often either.

Do you expect 32s to be a winning hand?
Playing big pots at small stakes.

Only if you are a 23s specialist. I almost never voluntarily play the hand, so all of my losses with those kinds of hands come from the blinds.

When I spanked the online middle limits, as a group 89s - 45s showed a profit when I put in money with them on top of any blinds or antes.

That said, a lot of the value of the hands comes from steal equity and I think that is where most people go wrong.

In my live play, I probably spewed with them too much when I got impatient/spewy. Also had a funny run where people liked to float me with air and I just couldn't find one more barrel when it would have worked because the calls up to that point were so bizare.
