Default Pocket 5's short handed? good play?

    Pacific poker 1/2 levels.

all players are quite aggresive and know what they are doing:

I am in cut off with 120
    Button has 200
    SB has 240

I am dealt 55 and raise to 6.

Button and Sb both flat call

    flop comes 3 4 5 with 2 clubs

    SB raises to 18
    I call
    Button reraises to 59
    SB folds
    I reraised all in

    thoughts?

Button probably has 77-TT or some mid pair in that range. Not strong enough to reraise pre flop behind a raise, but looks like it is the best hand after you flat call SB's bet instead of raise him. Button puts you on AK and expects he has you in bad shape. Nice play by you, sucks if button is willing to play 67 suited for a 3BB raise and got lucky.

    { edit: deleted remark about calling sucking }

You're reminding me of why that game is so darn swingy...

how do u play it fnord?

I put him on a made straight or a lower set unless you think he could bet that with a flush draw. If he has a set or a flush draw a call is easy. If you think he holds a made straight then a call is hard. I think the made straight is most likely here [because, after all, you are posting it so you probably lost. Hehe]. If I suspect the straight I fold since I can only win if the board pairs (30% chance to do so). Most would call or push. I am just more careful than most.

Make it perfectly clear to the SB that he could be playing for stacks here.

    Downswinging holla!
I hate the cold-call on the flop. There is two clubs and several straight possibilities out there, you just want somebody to outdraw you doing that. Yes, there is no way I'm folding here. If he has the made straight you are still 30% to win, and if he has an overpair then you're a huge favorite. If he's on a flush draw then you're 75% to win. You pretty much can't fold in this situation.

It's not too difficult to play $1000 pots in that game.
