Default How many hands before you can notice trends?

One thing that's been pounded into me during my short time on this board is that 1,000 hands is nothing, and that 10,000 hands still isn't that many. So when you can adequately separate trends in your play from short-term swings and start plugging leaks, etc.?

I'm not sure exactly how many hands I've played at this point (I'll check when I get home), but my guess is it's at around around 1,000. What should I be looking for when I review my play so far?

I think 10k hands will give you a reasonable approximation of your win rate. In addition, your numbers for VP$IP and W$ASD are unlikely to swing to far in either direction after 10k hands.

    Get PT.

Keep records of your sessions, at least how many hands you played and what your session net was. Try to name a couple of things you did well and a couple of things you need to improve after each session. Written records are helpful.
