Slow play gone wrong...

I slow played this as I was sure I was going to win it and I just wanted to get some money out of these people. Where, oh where, did it go horribly wrong?

It went horribly wrong when you over-estimated the strength of your hand and gave away free cards. I've been guilty of it so I recognize it when I see it. I know the trips looks good, but you have to realize 1. the other high card (jack) makes a straight draw possible, and if someone has it you're giving them a free card for their gutshot draw; 2. the turn card makes a flush draw possible, and you passively called the bet there instead of raising. You have absolutely got to raise AT LEAST on the turn, and ideally you should have bet the flop, bet/raised the turn, and forced the drawing hands out.

Also, A2 suited is a pretty weak hand from that seat. I probably would fold that pre-flop. You're setting yourself up for disaster with most flops other than the flush or flush draw. Even trip aces is vulnerable because anyone else playing an ace is guaranteed to outkick you... and that's a rare flop anyway.

That's not a hand that I would have considered slow-playing. The 2 is such a low kicker that the other Ace automatically has you beat (if it's out there).

I would have bet the flop and then bet more on the turn to try to win the hand before the river.

At such a loose table, anything could happen. Try to make the fish work for their hands, in the long run they pay off.

yep, anytime I hit trips with a strt/flush friendly board I bet big... ~potsized or bigger on every street. Make them pay to hit it.

You did bet potsized on the flop which is good BUT playing this low of a limit you have to smack people in the face with higher percentage bets if you want them to notice and say "hey, maybe the odds aren't there". On the turn with ~.30 in the pot I would have bet ~.5 or so. You can get some people to fold in these limits, you just have to show them you mean it.
