SnG's and Tournaments ?

Hi, i was just wondering what the difference between SnG's and tourneys were?

I watched an SnG and it seemed exactly the same as a tourney (everybody start off with equal chips then they get eliminated 1 by 1 - just like a tourney)

also just want to clarfiy that ring games are when you can keep buying more chips, then cash out when you want?

any help is appreciated.

Tournys start at a certain time. SnGs start when the tables fill up.

Beyond that, nothing.
