Betting the flop

As some of you know and most of you don't, I've had quite the hellish losing week. I've been reviewing the hand histories for my biggest losers trying to figure out if there is something in particular that is losing me money. The theme that seems to be recurring is:
-I raise preflop
-I flop something, opponent flops a draw
-I bet the pot, taking away my opponent's odds to draw
-Opponent draws anyway, I lose the hand

Obviously I'm generalizing, but IN GENERAL can I keep playing this way assuming that this week's downswing is just variance talking? Or is there something there to be corrected?

How can you ever be sure that someone is on a flush draw? if you suspect it make a strong bet, but don't put all your chips at risk in case he just has your hand beat.

Ty thats variance talking, soon everything will level up an youll have a tremendous winning week..what can I say I love and hate flush chasers

It's just bad variance. You're getting the better of it against chasers but you want to bet as big as you can stomach while they don't have it, and then try to cut your losses when they do. Not much else can be recommended. If you know them to be on a flush draw, going all in isn't a bad tactic really, but your swings will only get bigger. The positive side is, when you're swinging up, you'll go far. 2/3 of the time they'll miss the draw and you'll tap-dance on their grave, with shoes made of their money. And other tortured metaphors.
