played at star city in sydney, aust. question about cc's
ok, star city's poker room, or rather area (has about 8 tables all up) with the entry level being the 5/10 and then a 10/20, do not rake hands. rather they have commission chips (cc) whereby if u want to play a hand u use the chip, it costs 75c int he 5/10 table. anyway, i felt this is an unusual method for hte casino to make their cut as it forces tighter players to pay for more hands and thus spend more money in pots that they otherwise wouldnt bother playing.
and btw, the level of play at star city is terrible. people were folding to checks, calling bets and raises with 62o, and winning on miracle cards on the river. highly frustrating.
it makes u wonder why u would go to waste ur time travelling to a casino, paying the $15 for parking, dealing with the noise and ignorance of bad players, when u can do it all inthe comfort of ur own home
