Default Question about standing up in NL Hold'Em

    Hey...
Just wondering if any players here think that once they've accumulated a large stack at one NLHE table to stand up and sit back down to go back to the max amount...

Benefits: If someone goes all in with a higher stack, there is less gamble.
Disadvantages: Might look like a crappy player... (Might be beneficial actually)

I would only be noticed if you sat down at the same table.

You can avoid everything if you stand up and then sat down at a different table.
I don't know what they have to say
    It makes no difference anyway.
    Whatever it is...
    I'm against it.

But is it a good idea to do that occassionally or do the disadvantages outweigh the benefits?

it's up to you really....if you are one of the 2 people with like a $75 stack in the $25, and you get dealt AA and they get dealt KK....they go all in preflop...well if you left earlier you've just missed a golden opportunity to make 75 bucks! instead you'll only make 25 bucks.

of course there's always that 18% a K will come and piss you off...like it has for scgolfer one too many times :P

The very first post I ever made on FTR was about this subject. Check it out: http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...ighlight=table

P.S. it took me about 20 minutes to find that.
