Default Calling almost every hand? A good strategy?

I was wondering about this strategy. When I am up by a lot in NLHE at the Borgata, I will call many hands preflop. If a raise occurs, I simply let go of my hand. It is always at the 1/2 tables.

Anyways, what do you all think about this strategy? If you call every hand, you will hit a monster more often than not. If you do not hit a monster flop, simply fold. I know temptation to stay in with a marginal hand would be there, and 2 dollars a hand would eat at your stack, but what if you can win 1-3 pretty decent size pots an hour?

I'm by no means an expert on the subject, but as a relatively new live player, I don't trust my discipline. Too often I'll limp in with A5 or something, flop an Ace. Get value bet to the river, and the other guy flips over Ax where x>5. I generally don't play a hand pre-flop without a clear picture on how I could successfully play it out postflop.
