Default [20NL] QQ overpair. Villain calls river.

This is a hand from Oct 2011 on Ongame and it still bothers me. At the time I was normally 16-tabling $5 SNGs and had decided to sit down at a cash table just to break the monotony. After playing this hand I realised that I really didn't have a clue how to cope with 3 post-flop streets of betting, went back to my SNGs and didn't play any ring games for another 6 months.

It is the river that really concerned me. I soon as I made the river bet I regretted it, and when villain called I was shocked to find that I had won the pot. Even now I cant think of what worse hands might have called (Ongame does not reveal mucked cards) and so I'm posting it here to see if anyone else has any idea.

Almost no reads on villain (MP) 60:20 over 5 (five) hands. Had not seen him continue beyond the flop.

    { JJ-88 } makes the most sense.

You're probably right. I just cant get my head around the idea that someone would call off most of their stack with such hands on that board. But given that JJ is the best hand that I beat, there are not many alternatives.

Ongame reveals mucked cards if you go to hand history section of that table during your session. But mucked cards won't show up in your HEM hand histories after.

As played, yah it's thin. I'd like it more if turn didn't bring a straight as well.
