Fair enough. I guess I'm bluffing against some of his range, he can fold 88 and maybe TT+ if he credits us for the 9, and I'm also happy for him to abandon flush draws with overs, since he would be getting a good price to call. For sure I'm spewing against part of his range, but I'm expecting him to be pretty wide here. That's why I consider r/f anyway, it's not just a case of finding out where we're at.
Are you considering betting a club turn if he checks over after we flat the flop? That would be another line I would consider.
I just hate to fold the turn really, I think we're ahead of a large part of his range, and we're making a mistake a significant % of the time. But as played, I don't see anything else on the turn, calling turn means calling river, which seems spewier than just raising him on the flop.
I'm not for a minute thinking I play these spots anywhere near optimally, I struggle with middle pairs bvb.
