guy ended up stealing alot but this was quite early on. he seemed to know what he was doing 18/16 over first 20ish
not really sure what I should've done different.
turn a fold if I'm not gonna call blank river, or is it fine as it looks like i'm gonna call so he should be only be v betting hands that beat me. I suck so much BvB I always seem to be throwing away money any time I try to defend

Personally I'd be 3betting pre BvB with 77+

    As played I'd call river.

villain calls, flop is J95cc, he checks to you. now what? what about 256r, A62cc, 555r, KJTr?

True. Didn't actually notice sample was only 20ish too.

Probably check behind. Maybe b/f. If I bet and If he calls flop I shut down unless I improve to a set, in which case I'd bet turn or OESD in which case I might be calling a bet depending on size etc.

Bet flop and probably call raise depending on size and see what happens on turn and river. From that stage on I'm hoping to get to show down as cheaply as possible.

As played I call, lots of draws missed and he's not repping much.

i would suppose that 3betting pre would let you know whether he is stealing or he has a hand.
*dozers comment was posted while i was typing..i like his reasoning for not 3betting*

I think his turn bet says he has a hand, he is betting into possibly a set of 9s, 6s or a boat without fear.
or he is an aggro moran and he has bupkus.
I mightve folded turn, which may also be wrong, but since you called turn...idk
feels fishy to call, folding seems too tight...at that point i probably sigh, call and plan to reload after taking notes on him

micro2macro-And remember, ANTICIPATE your next decision. If you 3bet KTo with the intention of folding to your stupid nit retarded opponents 4bet, just muck it and be done with the hand.

Calling river seems good even though his sizing is kind of weird.

Is r/f not an option on flop? If he flat calls, b/f non-club turn if checked over, fold if he leads, and check river behind, or fold to river bet (unless we bink a sick one obv).

    As played I'm folding turn.

    raise folding does nothing.

Fair enough. I guess I'm bluffing against some of his range, he can fold 88 and maybe TT+ if he credits us for the 9, and I'm also happy for him to abandon flush draws with overs, since he would be getting a good price to call. For sure I'm spewing against part of his range, but I'm expecting him to be pretty wide here. That's why I consider r/f anyway, it's not just a case of finding out where we're at.

Are you considering betting a club turn if he checks over after we flat the flop? That would be another line I would consider.

I just hate to fold the turn really, I think we're ahead of a large part of his range, and we're making a mistake a significant % of the time. But as played, I don't see anything else on the turn, calling turn means calling river, which seems spewier than just raising him on the flop.

I'm not for a minute thinking I play these spots anywhere near optimally, I struggle with middle pairs bvb.

this has to be one of the worst thought out lines of reasoning for raising flop. i mean really say this out loud to yourself. i mean if your assumptions are true (0%) this is still the worst way to play this specific hand. not only that but if your assumptions are true (still 0%) you should be making SIGNIFICANT adjustments to what i assume to be your standard play. not to mention hunting this player down and constantly sitting on his left.
