Default 777 vs. Aggrodonk - a missed opportunity to Jam the turn?

Hi all first can I say that my play (albeit over a small sample ~ 2000 hands) has dramatically improved (11.67BB/100) just reading/talking HH and reading articles. I've yet to fully study and apply some more advanced concepts but am looking forward to doing so. FTR = + E.V.

    PokerStars - $0.05 NL (9 max) - Holdem - 8 players
    Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

    CO: $1.84
    BTN: $5.00
    Hero (SB): $6.25
    BB: $7.05
    UTG: $3.05
    UTG+1: $16.44
    MP: $5.33
    MP+1: $12.09

Hero posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

    Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has 7 7

fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to $0.15, BB raises to $0.30, Hero calls $0.15

    Flop: ($0.60, 2 players) A 5 7
Hero checks, BB bets $0.25, Hero raises to $1.05, BB calls $0.80

    Turn: ($2.70, 2 players) 6
Hero bets $1.92, BB calls $1.92

    River: ($6.54, 2 players) 3
Hero bets $2.98 and is all-in??

For the purposes of this HH I think it'd useful to show the result; my bet sizes might become worse . I definitely think with hindsight I should have got all my money in on the turn but, I shouldn't judge based on results.

From my last post I remember some one saying I could click "show HUD" to get up stats this is greyed out though - any ideas why? He was definitely a complete tool though.

About showing the HUD, I'm not sure why it's sometimes greyed out. Did you stop import beforehand? Also, the trial version may have this feature locked. Otherwise, check out the PT3 forums.

Pre may be marginal? Depends on the dynamic between you and BB - if villain is 3betty than this is fine. If he is usually quite tight then I wouldn't be so comfortable flatting oop here. Could be wrong though.

Rest looks good, don't worry about results. If he 3bets you pre with small PPs or 4x just take a note and widen your 3bet calling range vs this guy.

edit: just saw the guy was a tool. Pre is prolly fine then.

Show HUD is greyed out in the re_player , when you are playing poker and importing hands at the same time. It was implemented to sort out crash issues a few months ago.

I think u played it fine..you were contemplating jamming 5 into a pot of 2? That's never good imo, you bet it good on every street, regardless of the outcome of the hand your play was as close to optimal as I can see.

    Thanks all for responses.

Well he had 9c4c so every single decision villain made was damn awful. Against this type of player are over pot bets/ jams a better strategy if you know theyll call with any junk to the river? I know this is counter intuitive to betting for value....

... Because I'm not so experienced I wasn't able to decide whether I played this correctly but the general consensus is that I did, so thanks.

He had equity, not much you can do. He's not going anywhere after the turn. That doesn't mean you overbet the pot and fold out the hands you want him to call with that are drawing dead. A lot of times he'll have Ax and just payoff.
