looks like your hand hasn't converted properly, coz the pot sizes flop-onwards are all wrong

do you have any stats/reads on BB? i'd have opened w/ 4xbb or 5xbb as a steal here - you'll be OOP if called

postflop - won't comment, but i can't see the point of raising $2.40 on the River if you've got £3 behind

I guess i should do a little but of explaining when talking posting a hand like this. Initially off of the small blind, i 3 bet in efforts to steal blinds. When he turned around and called m 3 bet, i found my self out of position. Off of the flop, I considered my self in the Lead so i attempted to get more money in by betting the pot size.

Off of the turn, I suppose i should have bet harder, 1/2 or 2/3s of the pot perhaps in efforts to scare him off of a outside straight draw.

What do you mean when you say can't see the point of raising $2.40 on the River if you've got £3 behind? Should i have pushed in this position? I didnt put my opponent on a hand like QQ or J9. I thought he would be playing a week ace.

a couple of points first [please excuse me if this sounds picky]:

    1. You're not 3-betting here - you're opening the Pot
    2. In the SB, you will ALWAYS be OOP post-flop, so you have to account for that

If you have a HUD, do you have any stats for BB? If not, do you have any reads on his play so far?

    3. You didn't flop a set, you flopped trips.

Your bet sizing on the turn is the problem. The pot is 1.20 and you have 3.60 behind. By only betting .60, you can't get stacks in on the river unless you overbet the pot.

Betting something like 1.00 on the turn will make the river pot 3.20 and you can bet all-in for your remaining 2.60, which will be called more than a 3.60 bet into a 2.40 pot.
