    Default Busto to Robusto ldo

...Well not exactly busto, but you get the point.

    Sup freshies. Im Miles.
This will be my first op here on FTR, and it will be live-based.

    History/Life:

I am currently 21 years old and am going into my 4th and final year of undergrad studies at University of California Santa Cruz.
I am majoring in Environmental Science, with an emphasis on Environmental Policy/ GIS...so Im out to save the world and all that jazz.

I started playing online pokerz when I turned 18 as a senior in High School.
I started my roll by playing freerolls and ground my roll up playing .25c SNGs.
At this point I was reading random articles found online about preflop strategies etc.

When my roll reached ~ $100 I discovered FTR and began my cash game journey.

Since then I made my way from 2nl-100nl and then boom, black friday. so thats chill.

Since BF I've been playing a little on Merege, but mostly playing live at my semi-local cardroom.

I managed to get my roll off of stars so I have about mehh 5k to work with @ 1/2/2 (weird blind structure where I play)

ITT I will be posting some hands, keeping track of my progress and learning to play better live poker as I do so.

sooo yeah... day 1 starts in like 3 hours.

    Lets Go!

ok so heres a hand from my first session:

    effective stacks ~150bbs

asian internet kid whos been raising a fair amount mid-late makes it 12, old weak tightish guy flats in the CO (hes folded to a min 3b earlier in the session ip), im on the button with A3cc and 3b to 41.

sb cold calls-- sb is a fish who 5b pre all in with TT vs one of the tightest guys at the table who showed AA, sb spiked a T on the turn to win the pot, hes got ~200bbs.

    initial raiser and caller fold.

HU to the flop vs the fish.

    *FLOP* KJJr
pot is ~115, ive got like 220 behind, sb has me covered.

    sb checks, hero sizing?

i mean yeah, i could fold pre, but the initial opener and flat caller are folding so often to a 3b that i think its pretty profitable in this spot.

as played, do you like checking back more than betting?

I guess it comes down to what kind of range you put him on, and if he's capable, what he puts you on? From your example he's not a big thinker. I wouldn't be suprised if hes calling most PP and most broadways to a 3b (fish on a heater syndrome). I wouldn't be suprised if he peeled a street with a smaller PP or some piece of the flop if it didnt already hit him. Sooooo your hand is a strait bluff with little fold equity IMO. I think i'd check it back and go from there.
