Default Adjusting when extreme LAG fish on your left

I find it very difficult to deal with an extreme lag fish sitting on my left. Here I am talking about players with 75/12 type of stats.

Some people simply recommend to find another table but since my focus is on improving my game, I want to learn how to deal with it.

What kind of adjustments to my game should I be making?

    Play very tight?
    CBet only for value?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers,

either play tight or loosen up the value range considerably, id advocate the latter. its high variance but more monies to be made.

Loosen up your value range but DO NOT stone cold bluff these guys; take them to value town.

in ur accounts... confiscating ur funz
Open lots of hands that can make top pair - any broadway will suffice, and only bet for value and with 8+ out draws.
As soon as you get a chance, move to his left.

btw, this is not 'extreme LAG'. 70/10 is extremely loose passive.

Depends on an exact type of fish. And by that I mean his postflop play. If he is calling down multiple streets often I'm gonna loosen up, add mid/high suitedness/connectors to my range, Axs, maybe even Axo to my range, and bet bet bet when i hit anything. If he folds a lot i might bluff him quite a bit more (semibluff actually), and cbet on regular basis.
Since he is passive preflop feel free to dictate your own pfr sizes (I find limping fine too), since you don't wanto spew too much with marginals preflop knowing that there might be other regs in line for the fish too, trying to isolate.

when you say lag fish im assuming you are referring to someone who is going kinda crazy postflop and a bit pre as well

start by making your open raise size minimum. then from there play a bit tighter from each position (get rid of your small connector type hands that rely a lot on fold equity and initiative)

then you could consider developing an open limping strategy that involves some limp re-raising.

Thank you for all the replies. Lots to think about.

    screw this

learn how to adapt to the situation. you'll eventually be playing higher stakes and with limited games running and 20 person wait lists you won't always have the choice of a perfect seat.
