10NL - TT facing river bet

Default 10NL - TT facing river bet

Villain is 18/18 over 38 hands.

This is reminiscent of one of my recent hands from where I was told to bet/fold the turn, so I did so and now the question is what to do next when the river comes off a blank.

There has to be a big chance this is a missed flush bluff. Like Bikes says, there's only 2 pair or Kx that beats you. I would think anything else that beat you would have shown more aggression early. The calls were never getting you all in by the river. There's a very slim chance he was going GS with 56. Personally I'd even rate the Kx as less likely too as a re-raise would have been better value to try to make you pay if you were going for the flush draw - but I'm very new so let the master posters comment!

    Call.
There's a bunch of air in his range that you're beating.
Since he didn't raise the turn I'm expecting to see some kind of a draw, maybe a weak Kx and he's worried about the kicker. I'd tend to discount 88, 99, JJ, QQ and AA from the PF and flop action and all sets from the turn call.
I wouldn't be surprised to see him show up with a random Ax, AQ, AJ, even A5.

Yeah, you're right. I was thinking that he'd raise them OTF, but prolly not. Kinda stupid of me to pull them out of his range only for that reason.
